Artist Biography
Lambis Stratoudakis was born and raised in south (Greece), on the 12th of Mars, he got a degree in Architecture before moving to graphic design first and photography later.
2006 was he awarded with the photograph portrait prize of the Association of Swedish Professional Photographers for his underwater freedivers series.
His works, especially the private projects, are driven by daydreams, moods and obsessions. Many things have been said about his photos. Ethereal, erotic, mysterious, magical or simply beautiful but what he most of all like about them is that they have their own life and often are beyond reality to him too!
Through the years he have developed a strange relation to fashion and stereotypic fashion photography, a horror and lovehate relation. This was the beginning of the Fluid Couture series. It begun as an antithesis to his usual way to shoot fashion and expanded to a project of contemporary photography pared with experimental techniques, vivid colors and tightly framed images. Fluid Couture is about beauty, dreams and wishes. It was the magic he was seeking in those series, a fluid and painted feeling.
