Artist Biography
Gordon Clark (born January, 1955) is a South African photographer who was born in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. Lives and works in Cape Town. Assistant to Photographer Johan Vessels 1976-1979. Studied film making in L.A 1980-1984.
Gordon Clark lives and works in Cape Town South Africa after living in Los Angeles for 24 years.A celebrated photographer and commercial director, Clark’s work has appeared worldwide.Clark’s work has been bought by collectors of rare photography internationally, including Oprah Winfrey, Jonathan Barnett, Rod Dyer, Gerhard Wohl and many other galleries and institutions.Gordon has a professional association with Leica South Africa. Gordon’s Photographic vision is constantly evolving and currently he is exploring the extraordinary world of Leon Botha, launching in 2010.
His work is held at the Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles.
