Artist Biography
Gilles de Beauchêne has created a series of personal works--powerful images that capture the imagination. Using a mix of analog and digital photography, drawing inspiration and subject matter from video games and comic books, from Tolkien, Burton or Bilal’s fantasy worlds, this French photographer takes us on a journey beyond the world of dreams, leading us from the infinitely large to the infinitely small within his composition where desire and fantasy find their full expression.
At the same time, he offers a personal and futuristic vision of our age and its changes. His images, aesthetically flawless and surreal in appearance, are both obsessive and elegant. They challenge our perception of reality and are permeated with a dreamlike quality.
His work is an intrusive and voyeuristic peek into modern men and women’s fragile relationship with society and with each other.
He is based in Paris, France.
