Artist Biography
( 1975 *Minsk, Belarus), followed homeless people through the streets of Minsk, Belarus, to make portraits of them. He roamed the areas where the homeless survive, picking trash, bottles, exchanging articles for small bits of change and managing to survive outside, exposed and mostly unnoticed. The homeless are society’s invisible heroes who survive within certain parameters with only the discarded refuse of every- day life as their sustenance. Loginov considers them heroes of new consumer age. They don’t waste anything and they reuse everything we use, abuse and then throw away. There are stronger than any of us because they are able to survive under extreme conditions. Loginov felt, that this is why the homeless of Minsk, needed to be immortalized in a powerful and enduring manner.
